Role

The Analytics and Insights (A&I) team partners with the Towers business and related partners to enable data-driven decision-making & drive meaningful outcomes. The team is responsible for KPI definitions and partnering with Towers leadership on solutions for business challenges, ensuring data availability, reporting and visualization of data and trends, predictive analytics and forecasting, and piecing together the story behind the numbers leading to actionable insights.

The Senior Business Analyst is a senior member of the A&I team, relied upon for their ability to counsel senior leaders and serve as thought partners on how to resolve complex business challenges with data. You will make clear, data-driven recommendations on how Towers should address new opportunities or threats. You will be a visible thought leader at the forefront of driving meaningful business outcomes with data-driven solutions!

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and dedicated thought partner for a senior business leader, bringing together strategic, creative, and technical skills to identify insights needed to transform their business for the better
  • Serve as a thought leader and influencer, driving continuous engagement with senior leadership on Tower's long-term strategy and bring a data-driven perspective to strategic decision-making
  • Partner with Towers senior leadership to define critical success measures (KPIs) and identify data-driven solutions to business challenges
  • Help guide businesses in improving processes, products, services and software through data analysis
  • Straddle the line between IT and business stakeholders to bridge the gap
  • Document requirements, define scope and objectives and seek viable solutions to business problems
  • Partner with the business to provide the "story behind the numbers" explaining business performance and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Identify and prioritize data, reporting, and predictive analytics needs, partnering across A&I teams to deliver outcomes
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify opportunities to influence business outcomes & decision-making
  • Close the loop to ensure proposed business improvement solutions are achieving identified goals

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (Business Admin, Finance, Strategy, Data Science/Statistics, or Economics)
  • MBA or Master's degree preferred


Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Seven or more (7+) years of relevant insights and/or analytics work experience
  • Three or more (3+) years of experience in a leading management consulting firm, top tier investment bank, or corporate strategy/corporate development team of a large company is highly desired
  • Proven leadership ability with strong client relationship skills, strong storytelling skills presenting to technical and non-technical audiences (advanced PowerPoint user)
  • Experience in data analytics (advanced Excel user), preferable knowledge of VBA, SQL, Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau
  • Experience in wireless industry or IoT space


Organizational Relationship

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Analytics & Insights

Title(s) of direct reports (if applicable): Business Performance Business Analyst, I/II/III

Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in your assigned office approximately 60% of the time (3 days per week) and where you do your best work 40% (2 days per week). There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.
