Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Business Analyst, Modernization is responsible for supporting the Company's order-to-cash (OTC) platform transformation. The Senior Business Analyst will help drive the development and deployment of enhanced business processes and new technologies. As a liaison between the business and IT department, the Senior Business Analyst ensures that the scope of work requested to enhance or modify existing technologies are clearly documented, communicated and validated. The Senior Business Analyst works closely with the IT technical team and/or outside vendors to design, develop, document and test solutions that meet the business requirements.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops inputs to guide decisions related to process design, while helping ensure the goals of the program are met.
  • Provides change management support and guidance in support of functional leaders in the business to support transition needs.
  • Coordinates the process of obtaining functional requirements from applicable business stakeholders and subject matter experts utilizing elicitation techniques.
  • Analyzes and reports on key measures of success and adoption.
  • Performs research and design analysis for proposed solutions in order to determine feasibility and present findings to management.
  • Serves as the primary liaison and point of contact between IT and the assigned functional business area for complex software development and enhancement needs.
  • Facilitates the development of software solutions and is responsible for the knowledge transfer of software program requirements to the applicable business owners.
  • Creates detailed documentation of functional, system (non-functional), user and reporting requirements that may include but is not limited to: Use Cases, Logical Models, Process Flow Diagrams, Report Specifications and Data Mapping & Flow Diagrams.
  • Performs profiling and analysis of data from source systems.
  • Supports quality assurance and control efforts through the use of data analysis as part of pre- and post-implementation reviews for software development projects.
  • Plays a lead role in functional and user acceptance testing groups as part of project implementation.
  • Assists others with creation of the value proposition (ROI) for proposed projects.
  • Maintains a system enhancement request database and supports the related application enhancement release schedule.
  • Works jointly with other IT Managers to create detailed project work plans for software development and enhancement projects.
  • Coordinates status meetings and produces progress reports.
  • Maintains and builds working relationships with software application vendors.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiar with order-to-cash organizational and project change management processes.
  • Previous experience organizing and supporting a diverse group of contributors and stakeholders to achieve objectives.
  • Experience utilizing Agile Project delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to develop a deep understanding of current-state operational processes, pain points, and areas of opportunity by asking high value questions, engaging in active listening, and probing.
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to adjust and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Results oriented and good time management skills with an ability to understand key milestones and objectives while leading groups of internal and external resources to meet project goals.
  • Grasps complex concepts quickly, adheres to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise
  • Written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create, process, and design content in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio
  • 7 years of experience with business analysis

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer engineering, information systems, finance, statistics, computer science or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in a business analyst capacity working with business systems related to systems support, analysis, or development.
  • Minimum of 1 year project management/coordination tracking and organizing business analysis documentation for projects.
