Job Summary:

The Sr. CI Specialist is responsible for the execution of the plant's training program and initiatives. This position will assist in the planning and coordination of operational and functional area training with a focus on driving the skilled and semi-skilled training program. This role will serve as the SME and be responsible for the management of the LMS. Other key areas of responsibilities include partnering with the Site Leadership team to identify SMEs to assist with the execution of hands on training. This position provides leadership, guidance, and follow-through to support the completion of departmental sustainment goals and objectives by delivering breakthrough results in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale.

Job Duties:

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Creation of training plans, documents, materials and reports
• Facilitation of Train-the-Trainer courses and events
• Works closely with CI Manager and Plant Leadership to develop and/or expand the skilled and semi-skilled training program
• Ensures employees are progressing through skilled and semi-skilled training program
• Coordinates training and sign offs of employees as they begin and progress through skilled and semi-skilled training programs
• Develops, maintains, and coordinates the operational and functional area SMEs in order to ensure effective training
• Maintains training documents and materials at the Site regarding training programs
• Ensure all employees and leaders at the Site are assigned and complete training in accordance with the training plan.

• Tracks and reports status of training priorities and initiatives
• Facilitates specific and targeted CI training at the Site level
• Analyzes data to identify Kaizen opportunities
• Facilitates Point Kaizen events to drive sustainable improvements
• Participates in Full Week Kaizen events
• Establishes and drives productivity pipeline roadmaps across departments and facility

• Responsible for managing multiple projects at the same time
• Required Competencies & Knowledge:

Knowledge of:

• Highly skilled in utilization of Alchemy LMS / Coach
• Knowledgeable in foundational training methodologies
• Working knowledge of CI methodologies and tools
• Hearthside procurement, products, and production processes
• Proficient in use if Microsoft Office Suite, highly skilled in use of Excel and PowerPoint

• Must be accurate, detail-oriented and maintain the utmost confidentiality

Ability to:

• Communicate in English to give and acknowledge instructions/problems; Spanish a plus.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in various units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule form.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
• Excellent keyboarding, record keeping and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while at the same time making sound decisions.
• Must have a strong will to drive change and sustain.

Proficiency in: MS Office Suite, Excel, and PP

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to use and reach throughout the day; hands, fingers, arms, stand, walk, climb and/or balance approximately.

• May climb steps to and from work and break areas.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts
• May be required to walk up to 400 yards to work and break areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A high school diploma, two (2) years of college courses preferred
• 2-4 years working in a manufacturing environment
