Primary Duties

1. Proactively execute general corporate communications areas to include one or more of the following: internal/external communications, social media, marketing, and crisis communications.

2. Build relationships across the enterprise including investor relations, media relations, governmental and public affairs, and the company's business units to provide solutions for internal and external communication and marketing needs to proactively share our story.

3. Develop new creative materials that meet the Company's brand guidelines in collaboration with internal personnel and external agencies that meet the Company's brand guidelines. Provide graphic design expertise to develop and edit documents, publications, website development, video and graphics.

4. Partner with information technology to manage technology solutions and analysis for corporate communications, marketing and business unit initiatives. Evaluate advertising, communications initiatives and social media technologies, track analytics and measure results. Analyze website traffic and recommend and/or make any necessary programming changes.

INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS & SOCIAL MEDIA:

Manage the company's social media presence. Draft and post content on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn that further amplifies community engagement efforts, safety messaging, and other company priorities while also monitoring customer concerns and engaging with tags or mentions, where appropriate.

Develop, design, and distribute company publications including the Visions Monthly magazine. Author, source, and edit content. Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely, highly quality printing.

Write, edit, and publish employee communications (EmpComs). Coordinates efforts to target appropriate audiences. Maintains and updates enterprise-wide distribution lists to ensure accurate and timely communication with all employees.

Assist with the production of quarterly employee broadcasts. Serves as field producer on various video segments.

MEDIA RELATIONS & CRISIS COMMUNICATIONS:

Develop, maintain and distribute communication toolkits that include press releases, social media content, talking points, one-pagers, and/or other materials as needed, enabling public affairs team members to effectively engage their stakeholders about safety awareness campaigns, emergency preparedness efforts, and other priority initiatives for the company.

In coordination with leadership and the public affairs team, identify events to amplify with video content that will support external communication efforts. Schedule and storyboard the shoot, identify key spokespeople, script questions, and capture video and sound to edit for use across a range of communication channels including the quarterly broadcasts, social media, the website, local media, and more.

Serve as the DFW media spokesperson and manage communications with DFW media outlets, and support the public affairs team as needed with media relations in other divisions. Build and maintain a network of respected relationships with key media, business peers, internal partners, employees and trade associations. Maintain a master contact list of all key media in markets throughout the company's service area. Review and provide support to public affairs team members for press releases, presentations, and media interviews. Arrange, facilitate, and manage media briefings with key company spokespeople.

Coordinate crisis communications efforts with leadership. Develop, maintain and distribute approved messaging to public affairs team members and media outlets, as needed, and maintain constant communication with the operations and customer care teams during any emergency.

MARKETING:

Develops and executes the monthly customer billing communications process, including scheduling, creating materials, working with vendors, and coordination with internal departments.

Support and engage the development of marketing and communications strategies to meet the objectives of the Enterprise and each business unit.

Develops and supports the creation and production of advertising and collateral materials to support marketing programs and communication initiatives.

Measure and track advertising and communication initiatives, social media, and website traffic to evaluate results.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Educational/Experience Level:

Bachelor's degree and four years in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent.

Communication Skills:

Requires the ability to communicate, persuade and/or influence internal and/or external customers at a high level such as senior management on matters of a technical and/or complex nature.

Numeric Skills:

Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.

Computer Skills:

Requires a high level of computer skills in order to use various programming languages for writing, modifying and executing programs as well as an advanced knowledge of various software applications to create documents, reports and/or graphics. Knowledge of content management systems required.

Work Conditions:

Works in an office environment. May require some traveling.

Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
