JOB DESCRIPTION:
Sr. Consultants for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S (HQ: Chicago, IL). Implement best-practice security and networking techniques for Internet-facing systems. Work with incident response teams to develop and manage the backlog of needed development/automation requests to ensure information network security. Develop Incident Response (IR) workflows and playbooks. Perform back-end software design and scripting and front-end design. Develop, test, integrate, maintain, support and fix software applications, playbooks. Perform code reviews and prepare code documentation. Sprint planning and reviews for code quality, attend daily stand up meetings. Perform pre-deployment system testing to ensure proper function prior to production. Install and deploy software applications into production environment. Mentor and share knowledge with developers across the organization. Technical Environment: Splunk Phantom; Perl, Python, Django, MySQL, Ruby; maintaining and developing automation scripts in Unix and Linux administration environment; high volume transaction API connectors (real-time and batch); REST APIs, Windows administration, Powershell; secure coding practices; networking architecture; Splunk Phantom/SOAR; log data aggregation solutions (Elk, Kafka, Splunk, Exabeam, HDFS); HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, REACT; Splunk; AWS; URL Scan; Virus Total; unit and integration testing.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in Informational Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience in Information Security or Software Development required. Required skills: information security/incident management or software development experience with backend design of software applications & implementing REST APIs in Python using Django, MySQL; front end design using HTML CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, REACT; using Splunk Phantom: develop custom integrations, develop & maintain playbooks & automation scripts, maintaining, supporting and fixing applications; pre-production system testing, production deployment & installation; performing code review and documentation; unit & integration testing; maintaining or developing automation scripts in Unix or Linux environment; Splunk; AWS; URL Scan; Virus Total; experience with Sprint planning & reviews for code quality, attending daily stand up meetings. Telecommuting permitted. (Bachelor's degree in Informational Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering or related field plus 5 years of progressive experience in Information Security or Software Development also acceptable.)
