This role is a senior leadership position responsible for defining and scaling the organization’s approach to executive and corporate communications. The Sr. Content Strategy Director will design and implement content frameworks and messaging architectures that clearly convey business priorities, insights, and thought leadership to key audiences. This position partners across the company to ensure alignment, consistency, and impact across high-profile communications initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, analytical storyteller, and exceptional writer who can translate complex topics into clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate messaging. Success requires a mix of long-term planning, creative problem-solving, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The role directly influences how the organization presents itself externally and internally, driving clarity, credibility, and alignment with overarching business objectives.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and execution of short- and long-term content strategies that align with business goals and enhance the company’s brand and executive visibility.
- Manage and guide executive thought leadership content, including bylines, LinkedIn posts, and editorial pieces, ensuring consistency and impact.
- Build scalable content systems, processes, and frameworks to support executive communications across channels and critical moments.
- Serve as a strategic writing partner to senior leaders, translating complex business priorities into clear, audience-appropriate messaging.
- Provide editorial oversight across corporate materials to maintain consistent tone, voice, and narrative.
- Support internal communications initiatives, reinforcing leadership messaging and corporate priorities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment and effectiveness of content strategies across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in executive communications, content strategy, and corporate storytelling.
- Proven ability to develop and ghostwrite content for C-suite and senior executives.
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset, capable of connecting business objectives to compelling narratives.
- Experience in healthcare, policy, or highly regulated industries preferred.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience working with senior leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and deadlines while maintaining editorial excellence.
