Job Description

As a Garrett's North America Finance Controller, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating, controlling and driving the Garrett business in USA and Mexico. The role covers all aspects of finance in North America and Mexico, including: Controllership activities in Mexico and North America (7 legal entities, including GMI, topco entity with complexity regarding accounting for debt and equity instruments); ISC Finance for Mexicali and Torrance; support FP&A including Reporting, Planning (AOP and STRAP). You will be expected to be a trusted adviser and business partner to the Americas Finance Director and VP North America, and provide support and challenge to ensure finance and business objectives are achieved

ISC Finance:

Act as leader and mentor for ISC Finance activities in Mexicali and (as necessary) Torrance. You will be expected to work closely with plant manager, VP Manufacturing and ISC Plant Finance Director to ensure significant improvement in controls across the plant and consistent application of Garrett policies - not just in finance areas, but across other functions as well

Controlling:

Ensuring accurate US GAAP accounting, appropriate internal controls for all legal entities in US and Mexico. Close liaison with tax, treasury on accounting for complex transactions in holding entities. Close liaison with Swiss Company Controller to ensure clean-up of intercompany relationships and processes. Ensure timely completion of all tax and statutory compliance activities in US and Mexico

FP&A & Business Finance / Business Partnering:

Lead reporting, planning (AOP and STRAP) for North America and Mexico. Provide trusted business partnering advice to Americas Finance Director and VP North America on financial impact of decisions and hold all functions accountable for delivery of their results

Your profile:

  • Professional Finance Qualification or Degree in finance and accounting
  • Minimum 10 years in Manufacturing/FP&A experience/Business Partnering - Manufacturing Finance
  • Experience needed (Plant Site finance leader), finance controllership and FP&A / Business partnering.
  • Strong technical knowledge of SAP, HFM, AOP, STRAP planning, USGAAP principles and Sarbanes Oxley rules.
  • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing processes and policies

The Garrett Finance organization drives financial processes to support the business and function organizations and maximize investment synergies while maintaining an internal control environment to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies. It is also responsible for the company's Risk Management process to ensure that adequate risks mitigation efforts for the business are in place, and guarantee the integrity of all external and internal financial reporting.
