The Sr. Coordinator, Accounts Receivable is responsible for researching and resolving outstanding Retail Draft and Extended Service Plan (ESP) receivables. Duties include performing Accounting functions such as journal entries and account reconciliations. This role interacts with store leadership, various financial institutions, third party service providers and other internal departments including Technology, Operations teams and CarMax Auto Finance.

Essential Responsibilities

• Act as the lead point of contact to resolve complex issues related to Retail Draft receivables. Facilitate communication with internal and external customers using various tools/systems.
• Review aging reports in partnership with internal business partners to research and resolve open balances.
• Manage the Draft Funding plan email box, ensuring these are completed timely and resolving related issues and inquires.
• Perform accounting functions including general ledger journal vouchers and reconciling balance sheet accounts.

• Communicate with field associates and customers via email and phone to resolve inquires related to receivables for credit card transactions. Prioritize research and refunds during credit card outages, ensuring timely communication and resolution.

The Sr. Coordinator, Accounts Receivable is the primary accounting contact for credit card and ESP receivables. Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of business experience, including 2+ years of related accounting or finance experience required or related business degree
• Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel required (i.e. Filtering, VLookups, Subtotals, Shortcuts)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA Home Office and have a Hybrid work arrangement.
