Senior Copywriter
Compensation: Pursuant to Colorado regulations, if this job is performed in Colorado, the salary range is $50,000 - $65,000 plus bonus potential. Eligible to participate in the company benefits plan. We offer health, vision, dental, and pet insurance. Are you the Senior Copywriter we're looking for?
Our Senior Copywriters collaborate with our design, web, and digital teams on a variety of materials that have copywriting needs. This person will work independently to provide copy for deliverables including but not limited to naming, campaign ideation and conception, brand strategies, marketing collateral, websites, blogs, newsletters, and more. They may have some direct interaction with our clients and stakeholders in the process to deliver messaging that suits each unique audience, project brief, and brand story.
This position is responsible for:
- Writing and editing marketing copy, digital content, brand messaging, and other forms and channels of communications as needed for various agency projects-ensuring they're clear, original, on-brand, on-time, and accurate
- Flexing creative ideation and research skills to develop brand names, creative taglines, and campaign concepts
- Collaborating with the digital and SEO teams to write branded, high-performing and conversion-focused website and digital media copy
- Working with Art Directors and designers to develop brand strategies and identities, write engaging brand messaging, and apply consistent brand voice guidelines across all deliverables
- Partnering with other copy team members and creatives to develop and evolve best practices, processes, and workflows to enhance our client and team member experiences
- Assist with internal agency branding, agency marketing & communications, content marketing, and other various copy needs
- Implement and document effective QA best practices for proofreading, editing, and fact-checking
We're looking for someone who has:
- An excellent understanding of writing concepts including grammar, punctuation, voice, tone, and marketing techniques with the ability to implement from vision to final product across print and digital channels.
- An outstanding work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger direction. They are disciplined to meet deadlines and stay organized, and they can both give and receive thoughtful, constructive feedback to achieve results.
- A strong attention to detail and a commitment to the highest-quality writing and products.
- The ability to be adaptive and flexible so they can function effectively in a high-growth environment.
- A desire to work independently within their portfolio but collaborate across teams and specialties.
Qualifications we're looking for:
- 1-3 years experience copywriting in an agency environment.
- A knockout portfolio that demonstrates your writing, ideating, and editing skills.
- Experience writing SEO-optimized copy for online platforms, including websites, ads, blogs, and/or landing pages.
- Ability to conduct keyword research as needed.
- A brand-centric, strategic mindset and the ability to translate strategy into clear concepts across multiple marketing platforms.
- A sense of ownership over all projects and accountability to deliver projects on-time and within scope.
- An ability to successfully collaborate with other team members to develop cohesive, high-quality websites, campaigns, and marketing materials.
- Experience using project management systems like Asana are a plus.
