SR Cost Accountant

The ideal SR. Cost Account will have a bachelor's degree in accounting and a CPA or CMA. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience in a retail, distribution and/ or manufacturing environment or through external audit experience.

This position will report to the Controller and assist in all aspects of cost accounting for the Company. Duties will include those necessary to comply with generally accepted accounting principles as well as those to serve as the primary accountant serving the planning and analysis functions around organization costing and supply chain management.

This is a hybrid role requiring you to be on-site at our Champaign, IL facility 2 days a week.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Collecting and analyzing data as to the Company's operating costs
• Developing, setting and maintaining standard cost schedules
• Carrying out margin and volume analysis
• Supporting capital project decisioning
• Providing management with recommendations for profitability improvement
• Support financial reporting and budgeting through preparation of budgets, financial statement schedules and forecasts

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Preferred) and CPA or CMA.
• 3 years minimum experience of cost accounting experience in retail, distribution, and/or manufacturing environment or through external audit experience.

• Proficient in Oracle ERP is preferred
