ABOUT THE POSITION
The Columbia Brand Creative team is focused on delivering distinctive and cohesive brand design and storytelling, including a compelling look, feel, voice and tone that reflect the company's values and compels new and existing consumers to act.
As a team we are the "protector" of the brand, developing brand design guidelines & standards for the company across functions.
Our efforts are geared to delivering the right creative to the right consumer at the right time. This is achieved in collaboration with Brand Strategy, Brand Experience, and Brand Media functions.

As the Senior Director for Brand Marketing Creative, you'll deliver the creative vision and strategy for the marketing organization. From how we communicate our product construct, categories, and innovations, to the content we create for DTC and marketing campaigns, you'll bring to life the Columbia brand look, feel, voice, and tone for the consumer.
You will be responsible for brand design, storytelling, and production. While we work with external agencies, we also have a strong team of internal creatives and a photo studio, both of which would report to this role.
Your role as brand "protector" will encompass developing brand design guidelines & standards for the company across functions (ie. Retail, ecomm, events, partnerships, brand experience), channels (DTC, wholesale) & regions.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- You will work alongside the CMO and Marketing leadership team to provide creative leadership and creative direction that solve brand and business problems
- Manage and develop teams of internal creatives (including Photo Studio) as they fine tune and ensure our creative vision
- Engage and guide team members to connect business goals to creative concepts
- Shape the brand standards to drive brand distinction, owning the creative philosophy and process from creative concept to execution
- Work closely with the Brand Media and Brand Experience to ensure our creative direction starts with the end in mind (channel/touchpoint focused), and we deliver the right content for the right channels
- Translate product and future innovations into clear creative strategies that drive brand distinction to captivate and grow the Columbia Brand consumer base
- Develop creative briefs that reflect the business objectives and marketing goals
- Design and develop creative strategies and solutions that meet the campaign briefs and brand vision
- Hold the organization accountable to the standards set, style guides, etc.

YOU HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Design or Communications
- Ten plus years of brand design/brand creative experience, including 5+ years of creative leadership in agency or a mid to large size brand
- Prior management of large, complex creative teams and a proven ability to lead, coach and inspire individuals at all levels of the organization, from the floor to c-suite
- Proven matrix management experience; able to influence and lead effectively with key collaborators across product, innovation, merchandising, creative, media, brand experience, and geographies
- Ability to travel internationally and regionally as needed
