Sr Data Analyst

Trilogy Federal is looking for a remote Senior Data Analyst to support a large Federal agency’s data analytics needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in Python, SQL, and developing dashboards and reports in PowerBI. Additionally, the selected candidate must be a strong communicator with the experience and ability to interface successfully with our clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI
• Develop/maintain scripts using Python and SQL 
• Conduct reviews/analysis on existing data dashboards and reports to find efficiencies and make recommendations
• Develop PowerPoint presentations to communicate findings, observations, analysis, and recommendations 
• Attend and facilitate client meetings 

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree 
• 8+ years of total work experience 
• 4+ years of data analytics experience 
• Detailed understanding of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and their features/functions 
• Experience using the following: Python, Power BI, and SQL
• Experience with Database design and ETL (data extraction, transform and load) 
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) 
• Understanding of big data concepts 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills 
• Experience with creating executive-level briefing materials and reports 
• Generally understands IT System Development Life Cycle and Agile concepts and practices 
• Possesses a solid understanding of IT architecture concepts
• Ability to interface well with end-users and senior client stakeholders 
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative virtual environment 
• Detail-oriented consulting approach, with client service focus 
• Self-starter able to work independently and within a team 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years working in a federal consulting environment 
• Tableau
• Possesses an advanced degree or credential (e.g., BIDA) in data analytics or business intelligence 
• VA or VHAexperience 
• Experience with or general understanding of VA data analytic platforms, repositories, or tools
