Our award-winning culture is built on core values that drive everything we do, including putting people first. We know experience comes in many different forms, some visible on your resume, others not. No one candidate will be a 100% perfect match to our description, so if you thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually-charged environment and have similar experience to what we are looking for, we encourage you to apply.

The Business Analytics team is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to enable data-driven decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company. The role is based in our San Francisco office and reports to the Business Analytics Manager. The Sr. Analyst will partner with a diverse group of senior stakeholders to leverage data as a strategic asset, uncover inefficiencies, track progress, and identify gaps and opportunities for the business. It is a high visibility role with a great level of autonomy and opportunity for growth.

Here are a few of the things you will do:

  • Partner with the Sales, Member Experience, Business Operations and Ecosystem Marketing teams to establish and track success metrics, explore customer behavior, and deliver strategic insights.
  • Perform data analysis to discover and investigate trends, patterns, and anomalies in core performance metrics;
  • Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to business partners and senior leadership to advance company goals;
  • Implement data structures and models using Looker, creating interactive dashboards and visualizations that provide actionable insights;
  • Validate, clean, and maintain data integrity to guarantee the reliability of our analyses.

Here is what we’re looking for in a candidate:

  • You are innately curious and unbiased as much as possible when conducting your research.
  • You have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, high attention to detail, and a strong bias toward actionable insights.
  • You are highly independent, resourceful and proactively dive into ambiguous problems with minimal guidance.
  • You move fast and prioritize based on impact.
  • You are a strong communicator and have an art for communicating complex findings in a simple way.
  • You are comfortable working in a geographically diverse and multicultural business environment and possess high EQ to build and manage relationships with your stakeholders.
  • And most importantly, you believe in HoneyBook’s mission and know how you will contribute to our success.

Here is what is needed:

  • Bachelor's degree with a background in a quantitative field, or equivalent work experience;
  • 4+ years of experience in a Data Analytics role;
  • Expert experience using SQL and writing data pipelines;
  • Proficiency with Looker, strongly preferred;
  • Python experience preferred;
  • Proven track record collaborating with teams to leverage data-driven insights to improve performance;
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.

The good stuff:

  • Mission driven: You'll be joining more than just another startup—our members are at the heart of everything we do.
  • Impact: We move quickly and encourage every employee to push the envelope. Our best ideas come from out-of-the-box-thinking and innovation; be ready to fail fast and often!
  • Benefits + Perks: From wellness programs to open paid time off and exceptional family leave policies, the health and happiness of our employees is foremost.
  • Compensation: We offer a competitive salary + meaningful equity based on merit and market.
    • $135-$150k base (for California-based roles)
