Job Description: Sr Data Analyst with the ability to assist the business Product Owner in the agile methodology, documentation of requirements, creation of stories and acceptance criteria, and the profiling and analysis of data in both the raw source and final solution states. Deliver transformational reporting and analysis solutions over the next 18 months. Influence wider product team to drive roadmaps that provide a larger solution viewpoint and align to stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Understands business needs and translate those into technical strategy
• Design, develop, and implement new decision support solutions that help the business leverage/operationalize analytical insights.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements helping the business product owner be successful and the data engineers be efficient
• Generates reports and regular datasets or report information for end- users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts.
• Integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements.
• Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports, and other end- user information portals or resources. May create specifications for reports based on business requests.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, IT or a related field.
5+ years of experience with an emphasis on business reporting and analytics required
Experience with Financial data and systems
Strong ability to lead and/or work on cross-functional teams and provide project management support
Experience in definition of new measures, and the translation of business goals into quantitative metrics and reporting
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with multiple business stakeholders on firm deadlines
Able to influence and communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with team members and business stakeholders
Strong experience in relational SQL and Database Analysis
Experience in Python, Spark, Airflow, etc.
Experience with Cloud Data Stacks (AWS, Snowflake, etc)
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
Strong understanding of solution and technical design
Strong problem solving and analytical mindset

Job Duties:
Be responsible for building the financial analytic capabilities that transform the Client to meet the challenges of a mixed retail and wholesale future. Gather requirements and design data flows to intake financial transactions, develop and test complex business rules for cost attribution, and identify and model data against additional product and customer attribution to support financial optimization and deep analytics.
