Sr Data and Engineering Manager

The Sr Data and Engineering Manager implements short-term data quality and governance policies and strategies to ensure adequate data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes. This job supervises experienced professionals responsible for the design and implementation of master data management solutions in order to maintain a common, firm-wide data standard and influences regarding data quality and governance policies, practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Directs the development and implementation of data quality and governance strategies and plans and oversees the implementation of tools and processes to maintain firm-wide data standards.
  • Evaluates and optimizes the organization's data governance capabilities to ensure that high data quality exists throughout the complete lifecycle of the data and that data controls are implemented to support business objectives.
  • Contributes to reports and dashboards to identify key business metrics, trends and analytical needs, and optimizes dashboard reporting for operations and management to enable data driven decision making.
  • Assesses master data management metrics and recommends optimal approaches for resolving data quality issues and strengthening data integrity, quality and availability across the enterprise.
  • Manages performance of data quality and governance team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of high quality data governance strategies and engagement, motivation, and development of team.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play an active role in the decision-making process related to selection of all data architecture solutions. You'll focus on partnering on strategy to improve the design and implementation of our data warehouse, ensuring reliable data infrastructure and creating data solutions for business partners. This represents a tremendous opportunity to:

• Work with team members to standardize our data in Snowflake • Drive innovation within Data Engineering by playing a role in technology decisions for the future of our data science, analysis, and reporting needs• Work with business partners and data engineers to gather, understand, and bridge definitions and requirements• Drive efficiency gains through improved reliability and stakeholder adoption of self-serve tools• Leverage research and previous experience to ensure we're up to date and continuously exploring• Identify gaps and weaknesses in our data stack and continues to drive learning advancements for the team• Provide technical expertise and leadership to Data Engineering team in all phases of work including analysis, design, and development of architecture

Base Pay Range: $123,800/yr. - $173,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
