In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize large-scale data infrastructure and pipelines that support complex client integrations and high-volume analytics. You will have the opportunity to shape enterprise-level data architecture, lead high-impact initiatives, and mentor junior engineers, all while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data architectures and ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from APIs, cloud platforms, and databases
- Lead complex, high-impact data engineering projects from conception to delivery
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
- Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and governance for data engineering
- Collaborate with internal teams and client engineering partners to define integration strategies and requirements
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability
- Drive improvements in data quality, observability, and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and governance policies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in cloud data architecture, design, and governance
- Strong experience with Azure services including Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, and Synapse
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Scala, or Java for data engineering tasks
- Hands-on experience with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka on Azure
- Familiarity with relational databases and modern data storage solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and mentor team members
- Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary
