Perform as a contributing member of an advanced data engineering team using Fabric and Apache Spark mainly to design develop and maintain scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate will have a solid software development background and experience with modern data engineering practices including CI/CD data governance and cloud platforms(AWS/Azure).
Key Responsibilities:

• Design implement test and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Fabric/Databricks and Apache Spark for batch and streaming workloads producing mission-critical real-time integrations that will affect the public directly and may save lives

• Integrate data from diverse sources (databases Data Lakes APIs) ensuring data quality consistency and integrity

• Automate administer and optimize Fabric environments including cluster configuration Unity Catalog management and cost control

• Effectively communicate and collaborate with technical leaders in a multi-team/multinational environment with teams spanning the globe to deliver data solutions aligned with the business needs

• Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in the face of changing technologies priorities and requirements

• Monitor and tune data processing workflows to enhance performance and reliability

• Support legacy applications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

• 4+ years of data engineer experience

• Extensive experience with Fabric Data Engineer and Apache Spark MLOps is a plus

• Solid knowledge in software development practices principles and tools including Python PowerShell C# .NET Core

• Proven ability to design and implement different data models (Relational and non-relational)

• Advanced English level to work effectively with stakeholders and technical teams

• Experience with RDBMS such as MySQL MariaDB SQL Server and any NoSql distributed databases like Cosmos DB/MongoDB/ DynamoDB

• Knowledge and working experience with REST based APIs and notion of implementing microservice principles and architectures

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

• 4+ years of data engineer experience

• Extensive experience with Fabric Data Engineer and Apache Spark MLOps is a plus

• Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer.
