Job Duties:
- Producing innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex and high-dimensional datasets;
- Applying knowledge of advanced statistics, data modeling, machine learning and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries;
- Designing and executing advanced statistical and machine learning models, algorithms, and visualizations;
- Performing exploratory data analysis and cleaning healthcare data for predictive models;
- Building predictive machine learning models from inception to production;
- Maintaining predictive models in production and developing matching business requirements;
- Architecting model delivery to the business by using predictive models as API calls or batch outputs;
- Building machine learning pipelines for downstream consumption;
- Analyzing information in Electronic Medical Records (EMR's) to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new parsing system architecture or modification of an existing architecture;
- Analyzing end user's (other data scientists, data analysts and developers) needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints;
- Designing, developing and modifying software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design;
- Developing State of the Art Natural Language Processing techniques that suit the clinical requirements of a healthcare company;
- Developing and leading machine learning system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation;
- Reviewing the work of Data Scientists, Analysis, System Architects, programmers, data engineers and other engineering and scientific personnel;
- Developing Application Programming Interface to allow end users to easily access to data and information;
- Developing scripts for validating machine learning models, systems and procedures;
- Building automated tests and static analysis scripts using different programming packages;
- Building visualizations to view the model validations including model drift and data drift;
- Developing predictive model templates for fast prototyping and predictive model building;
- Developing data pipelines and packages for internal distribution internally in the company to aid and fasten the predictive model development process;
- Overseeing the development, testing, validation and deployment of the enterprise dashboard for all healthcare members' health concerns;
- Performing extensive, necessary coding and testing for integrating machine learning predictive models built into dashboards and applications;
- Performing Data Science platform maintenance including investigating incidents and outages in a timely manner;
- Managing data science software platform versions and licenses;
- Developing and maintaining analytical packages used by the enterprise;
- Planning and executing upgrades;
- Monitoring security vulnerabilities;
- Performing continued optimization of installation and maintenance processes; and
- Mentoring other Data Scientists and interns.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related engineering or technical field and 5 or more years of progressive work experience in the job offered, or in a Data Scientist or related role or a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related engineering or technical field and 3 or more years of work experience in the job offered, or in a Data Scientist or related role
- 2 years of experience with R and Python
- 2 years of experience with SQL
- 2 years of experience with advanced statistics including predictive analytics models
- 2 years of experience with Machine Learning
- Experience with healthcare data
- Experience with Big Data including Hadoop
