Sr Database Engineer (Russian Speaker)

What's the role?
Join a team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing high-quality databases and driving coverage and content expansion for global mapping projects. Our mission is to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all aspects of map data while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs.
Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with database standards, quality, and content specifications
• Serve as the primary contact for database release processes and cross-departmental collaboration
• Lead key initiatives within large geographic areas, map layers, or Data Engineering services like Cloud Analytics and Data Mining
• Advocate for product quality and timely delivery while balancing customer satisfaction
• Maintain and expand proficiency in database processes, specifications, and quality assurance techniques
• Manage certification processes, including validation exceptions, queries, and quarterly checks
• Train and mentor new team members, contributing expertise in tools, processes, and coding/software

Who are you?
Requirements:

• Russian language proficiency and fluency in English are required
• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Cartography, or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience, with expertise in database analytics, validation, or cloud computing
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Advanced project management abilities, including planning and resource allocation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; programming skills in SQL, Python, or similar are a plus
• Willingness to travel if needed
