Sr Dir-Sr Strategist - Banking
Job Description
The Strategy & Communications team is responsible for the core business strategy of Banking Operating Unit for Moody's Analytics and communication of the strategy, achievements, and information regarding the OU. This unit has decision and lead actor responsibilities for business and product strategy, marketing, go to market, enterprise resource management, and reporting.
Candidates based in either New York or London can be considered for this opportunity.
A business as broad and diverse as the Banking unit requires a function which both reflects the diversity of our customers and products as well creating focus which our product, sales, and delivery teams can execute on. The Head of market development leads a team which acquires market feedback through senior relationships, primary and secondary research, and collaborating intently with OU & MA teams, synthesizes this information to generate long term plans for the business, and effectuates this strategy by collaborating with product strategy and go to market activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Customer insight and market intelligence - acquisition, aggregation, and synthesis for OU
- Core business review to identify strengths, weaknesses, gaps, adjacencies and clarify areas for investment / divestment
- Acquisition strategy - identifying gaps in our offering and finding appropriate targets
- Coordination with MA Central Portfolio Strategy team to ensure information flow and clarity / cohesion in decision-making
- Establish and Maintain Credibility in markets - through thought leadership and industry engagement
- Go to Market leadership
Qualification:
- 15-20 years of experience in progressively more senior and complex roles within Banking/Lending institutions
- Highly-developed communications skills - written/verbal - and interpersonal savvy
- The ability to create structured, detailed and compelling presentations addressed to various audiences within the organization
- A collaborative nature; a team player who works effectively with colleagues and project stakeholders
- Able to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage multiple, complex bodies of work
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
- The ability to work and think both independently and strategically
- MBA or Masters Degree
