Sr Director, Data Products

This senior leadership role is responsible for defining and driving the enterprise strategy for external data sourcing and data partnerships. You will shape how high-value and alternative data are identified, acquired, governed, and integrated into scalable data products that power business decisions and customer solutions. Acting as a key bridge between product, legal, procurement, engineering, and data governance teams, you will ensure that data assets are compliant, high-quality, and strategically aligned. The role requires strong commercial acumen to negotiate complex data agreements while maximizing value realization. You will also play a critical role in strengthening data governance frameworks, improving data cataloging practices, and ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance. This position sits at the intersection of strategy, data management, and cross-functional execution in a fast-evolving data-driven environment.

• Define and execute the enterprise data sourcing and external data partnership strategy aligned with product and business priorities
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate strategic data partnerships, ensuring optimal licensing terms, data rights, and value realization
• Partner with Procurement, Legal, InfoSec, and Data Governance teams to ensure due diligence, compliance, and regulatory alignment across all data agreements
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure data assets are accurate, consistent, and effectively integrated into data products
• Maintain and enhance the enterprise data catalog, identifying gaps, overlaps, and opportunities for improvement
• Develop and oversee governance processes that ensure ongoing data quality, compliance, and usability across the organization
• Lead cross-functional alignment between business, technical, and operational stakeholders to support scalable data initiatives
• Monitor industry trends, emerging data sources, and regulatory changes to continuously evolve data strategy

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in data sourcing, data strategy, vendor management, or enterprise data product leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong expertise in consumer and enterprise datasets such as credit, criminal, verification, or alternative data sources
• Proven track record of negotiating complex data contracts and managing strategic vendor relationships
• Deep understanding of data licensing models, data rights, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Strong stakeholder management skills across legal, business, product, and technology teams
• Experience with data governance tools, data catalog systems, or enterprise data platforms is highly desirable
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to balance business value, risk, and technical feasibility
