Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer,  the Sr Director, FP&A and Strategy will have direct oversight of corporate financial planning and analysis, including longer term strategic and profitability planning.  This role will work closely with the CFO, the CEO, and the other members of the executive leadership team to build and/or improve upon operational and financial data capabilities, applicable key performance metrics for sales, corporate and field operations, and asset performance. The candidate should have the ability to analyze the key drivers of the business model, including the economics of new and existing market expansion and develop a suite of analytical reports that assist the executive team in gaining business model insights, and driving performance and efficiency within the business. The role will also have overall responsibility for budget planning and management.

Essential Job Functions

  • Works with senior executives to establish financial, operational and strategic goals for the organization
  • Responsible for working with the leadership team to perfect the design of all operational and financial performance metrics and providing useful and regular management reporting to create visibility and enable efficiency and operational outcomes that support PosiGen’s growth, profitability and strategic goals
  • Participates with the CEO, CFO in setting the company’s strategic direction, including the evaluation of M&A opportunities
  • Responsible for developing annual budgets, managing cost reporting to budget, and long-range financial planning as it relates to sales, operational and overhead costs
  • Is responsible for developing, presenting and obtaining approval from the Board of Directors the annual budget, including all anticipated capital expenditures
  • Is responsible together with the Information Technology group and the Vice President of Accounting and Finance to build and/or improve upon the data and accounting infrastructure required to deliver all of the above objectives
  • Is responsible for building out the human capital required to accomplish all of the above, mentoring and motivating the team and providing leadership

Candidate Profile: 

  • Ideally, candidates will come from the renewable energy or similar asset based industry 
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. MBA desirable but not required 
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible finance and operational experience
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement financial controls, operating plans, budgets, and projections
  • Basic knowledge of renewables tax structuring, ideally partnership flip and leasing structures
  • Experience working with a Board of Advisors / Directors, investors, and investment community
  • Strong model development and spreadsheet skills. Knowledge of data systems strongly desired
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong team player: ability to easily work cross-functionally with Accounting, Sales, Legal and Asset Management groups
