As our operating model transforms to drive an employee-centric and data driven culture our underlying technology and data infrastructure must evolve to support these new objectives. This role will play a key role in supporting an ambitious HR agenda and will report directly to the VP Total Rewards, HRIS and Payroll. The successful candidate must be an innovative thought leader who can pivot between the effective management of daily operational issues and higher-level strategic planning and solutioning. This leader must possess deep HR Technology and data analytics expertise, be service minded and adept at stakeholder management. This position will be based in the Clarios Milwaukee, Wisconsin headquarters office. Remote work options will also be considered
What you will do
This role will lead a team focused on global HR technology and data strategy and service delivery. This leader will have direct responsibility for a CoE team as well as provide functional (dotted line) leadership to reginal HR operations support teams that are situated in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific locations within Clarios. Managerial oversight will be provided to third party AMS team.
How you will do it
- Partner with HR leadership and business stakeholders to development a HR technology and data analytics roadmap to enable the evolution to an employee-centric, data-driven culture
- Develop a resourcing optimization plan for all HR technology and data support activities.
- Analyze current internal (CoE, HR Operations) and external (AMS) HRIS resource utilization, and evaluate the impact of the various activities being performed
- Develop proposal to optimize HR technology support activities by allocating/reallocating activities to the most appropriate resource (CoE, HR Operations, or AMS)
- Identify resourcing gaps
- In conjunction with resourcing optimization analysis, create a governance process to guide the evaluation of both existing and future HRIS needs including:
- The review and analysis of process change requests received from the HR customer community,
- Resource allocation for "just do it" process enhancements and break fixes,
- Transformational activities,
- Customer communication guidelines and protocols,
- All other ad hoc requests
- Collaborate with senior leadership across all levels to set clear expectations and support the achievement of corporate goals. Success will require the use of listening, informing, persuading, instructing and coaching skills; and the judgement to know in which situations to apply each technique
- Manage third-party service providers and licensing requirements, assuring that contractual obligations are being met
- Develop and maintain HR metrics and dashboards for leadership and HR to deliver key talent and organizational insights and enable data-driven decisions
- Proactively engage feedback from customer community while simultaneously upholding governance standards and process
- Develop a high performing team through effective development of current team (both CoE and HR Operations teams) and focused selection of external talent
What we look for
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required, a Masters degree is preferred
- Minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources Technology. Workday experience preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of team leadership experience
- Experience in developing a HR Technology roadmap that incorporates data analytics within a global, complex business environment
- Ability to translate organizational HR data needs into meaningful reports and dashboards that reinforce key operational and HR narratives
- Strong understanding of HR Processes and ability to guide the translation of process to technology
- Must excel at analyzing complex problems, issues, and data to provide innovative human resources solutions
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and retaining key talent
- Adept at building relationships and gaining the trust of others
- An enterprise-wide thinker, able to understand the impact of how decisions and actions taken within one entity impact other entities and the overall enterprise, and the ability to succinctly articulate this
- Demonstrates customer service mindset with a sense of urgency
- Ability to understand objectives, roadblocks, and organizational needs and translate to effective HR System efficiencies and enhancements
- Must convey a strong sense of direction and have the ability to motivate others to perform at their highest level, demonstrating high levels of accountability in completing assignments
- Travel up to 20%, based on the needs of the business (if you do not reside in the greater Milwaukee, WI market)
