Sr Director, IT Infrastructure

Twist Bioscience is currently seeking a highly experienced professional for our Sr Director of IT Infrastructure. The ideal candidate possesses years of experience managing leading-edge IT technology teams, as well as demonstrated ability to implement complex projects under SOX environment. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of Twist's IT teams, including IT Architecture, Network Engineering, Production Support, IT Security, Desktop Support, and Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy for IT infrastructure (storage, computing, security, and disaster recovery) and software applications capabilities for current and future organizational needs
• Hire the best. Maintain KPI, monitor work, and evaluate results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization.
• Manage IT Infrastructures operating and capital budget and driving operational efficiencies
• Responsible for enterprise architecture, DevOps, systems administration, maintenance, back up, restoration and performance optimization
• Responsible for compliance and data security
• Responsible for systems architecture and implementation
• Develop and manage business continuity and recovery of company’s information systems, including needs analysis, design, plan development, implementation and documentation
• Manage individual contributors and managers
• Manage vendors, consultants and overall budget for IT

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience with direct experience leading through business growth
• Experience managing leading CRM and ERP system implementations, ongoing improvements, and maintenance
• Experience in architecting and operating AWS or similar cloud environments including optimizing cost/performance
• Strong desire to always improve employee experiences through technological advancements / improvements.
• Assessing the capabilities, impact and shortcomings of changes in enterprise business architectures and processes from a technical and business standpoint
• Communicate with business as well as technical audiences. Able to write clear and concise documentation, excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Business savvy for budgeting, project structuring, vendor and partner management, staff structuring, and negotiations

The base cash compensation for this California-based role is targeted at $231,916 - $263,378 + bonus + equity + benefits. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location and may vary from the amount listed above. Compensation may be different in other locations."
