Senior Director, Learning Experience:
The mission of HubSpot's People team is to attract and empower people to do their best work and help HubSpot grow better. Reporting to the VP of Global Learning & Talent Development, this Senior Director will form part of the People extended leadership team and oversee a global team of learning professionals.
The Senior Director of Learning Experience will play an essential role in shaping HubSpot's learning culture, helping to drive engagement and development across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in instructional design, modern adult learning theory, measurement strategies, as well as experience with a variety of digital learning tools and platforms You'll be part of a dynamic team with opportunities to make a lasting impact on our employees' growth journeys

Key Responsibilities Include:
Strategic Planning and Alignment:
Lead the instructional design strategy, aligning learning programs with business objectives and organizational goals. Collaborate with leadership to identify key learning initiatives and priorities, ensuring that instructional design efforts support talent development and performance improvement.
Team Leadership and Development:
Manage and develop a team of instructional designers, multimedia specialists, learning technologists, and project managers to deliver high-quality learning solutions. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to team members, helping them stay current with trends, skills, tools, and technology.
Learning Design and Development:
Oversee the design and development of learning programs, courses, videos, and modules, using proven instructional design models (such as ADDIE, SAM) and approaches that engage and motivate the modern learner. Leverage new technologies and approaches to deliver unique and creative learning experiences for all HubSpot learners.
Technology and Innovation:
Evaluate, recommend, and implement learning technologies and authoring tools (such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and LMS/LXP platforms) to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our learning programs. Lead innovation efforts to incorporate emerging technologies (e.g., VR/AR, adaptive learning, AI) to enhance learner engagement and outcomes.
Evaluation & Data Driven Decision Making:
Use assessment and evaluation methods to measure learning effectiveness, collect feedback, and apply insights to continually improve learning solutions. Use data insights to drive improvements in learning outcomes, learner engagement, and overall program impact.
Campaign Management:
Plan, develop, and execute multi-channel communication campaigns to generate awareness and excitement for key training programs, such as onboarding, leadership development, and skills training. Monitor and adjust campaigns based on participation rates, feedback, and engagement metrics, ensuring continuous improvement in messaging effectiveness.
We are looking for a leader who:
- Brings 10+ years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, or training, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Has proven experience leading teams and managing complex instructional design projects from inception to completion.
- Bring experience with instructional design for virtual, hybrid, and micro-learning environments.
- Has deep knowledge and appreciation of emerging learning technologies, such as AI in education, virtual/augmented reality, and adaptive learning systems
- Brings a proven track record of creating effective communication strategies and engaging content within a corporate environment.
- Communicates clearly, simply, & thoughtfully on what their team is working on and how it impacts the business.
- Believes in investing in lifelong learning. Regularly solicits, listens to, and acts on feedback across their peers and teams. Is self-aware, self-critical, and respectful in the approach to their growth.
- Is comfortable with ambiguity, has proven adaptability, and is excited about experimenting and embracing a growth mindset.
- Is a hands-on leader who can roll up their sleeves and execute on deliverables as and when needed.
- Has excellent project management skills that allow you to effectively prioritize multiple initiatives and deliverables and produce remarkable results in a fast-paced environment.
Cash compensation range: [223,100]-[357,000] USD annually.

The cash compensation above includes base salary and an annual bonus target of 25% under HubSpot's bonus plan.
In addition to cash compensation, all HubSpotters are eligible to participate in HubSpot's equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
