Job Description
Description:
- Directs and oversees a major segment of Lockton's operations, including the design, implementation and review of policies, objectives, and initiatives
- Manages organizational strategic planning process, including analyzing opportunities within plan, implementing the plan, and continuously monitoring the plan
- Has overall responsibility for various growth-oriented projects
- Drives business planning, including acquisitions and new-business creation
- Creates benchmarks and best practices to measure degree of success in developing new business
- Reviews and assist with local initiatives, including project management, operational efficiency reviews, and compliance evaluations
- Uses market intelligence to develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, valuation of opportunities, projections, reports and presentations
- Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to stakeholders
- Establishes a consistent framework and process within organization, including financial analysis, research and development of interactive tools
- Performs other responsibilities and duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or years of experience equivalent
- Master's in Business Administration or Certified Public Accountant is a plus
- 3-7 years' relevant experience within management consulting, insurance brokerage, insurance company, investment banking or other internal business development is required
- Experience in development or M&A consulting is preferred
- Understands industry trends and governmental regulations
- Ability to interact and contribute at a high level with senior professionals
- Skilled in identifying business issues, developing solutions, selecting a path and implementing
- Ability to source various data sources; synthesize and; develop forecasts based upon clear assumptions
- Ability to identify critical issues and oversee the advancement of key initiatives.
- Ability to build and manage a project plan and execute that plan effectively
- Ability to clearly communicate with team members, management and senior executives.
- Ability to create a unique value proposition.
- Ability to analyze business data to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
- Ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed
- Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings as required, including industry training sessions
- Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of Client and company information
- Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft
- Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, calculator, photocopier, and facsimile machine
- Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged amount of time
- Legally able to work in the United States
