We focus all hiring efforts in a few states and within driving distance of an office location to enable in-person collaboration when and where possible. Priority hiring locations are Scottsdale, AZ, Illinois, NY tri-state metro area (New Jersey, New York and Connecticut) and San Francisco, CA. On exception we will hire in secondary locations such as District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia. We are not actively recruiting in Colorado, Rhode Island or Washington.

Overall Purpose

This position is responsible for managing critical aspects of Early Warning's Strategic Product platform implementation - Focusing on Product Engineering of high volume customer real-time and batch services to meet company growth and financial goals

Essential Functions

  • Strategic leader focused on Product Engineering Delivery
    • Own the technology implementation of Strategic & Complex Customer facing Product(s) / Application services involving large scale data & advanced analytics including AI/ML.
    • Own the end-to-end new product development and data consumption delivery from Discovery to supporting consumption needs delivering timely and highly performant services.
    • Manage the Design, implement of Complex Application/product and data processes while ensuring strategic alignment and compliance with US and international data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) by collaborating with Legal, Internal/External Audit and IT leaders.

  • Be a thought leader and lead a high performing team: a senior point of expertise on product implementation. Evaluate, Influence implementation of industry trends and developing technologies. Be a role model to others on the team. Manage, coach and mentor a team of Product Engineers.

  • Strong collaboration and partnership both internally and externally:
    • Partner with Business (Product team), Risk / Compliance, Legal and Delivery areas to ensure that product services related business requirements for the protection of sensitive data are implemented leveraging industrybest practices. Act as an agent of change to help drive engineering best practices and pioneering in Innovation.
    • Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with information security, data related policies, processes, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements.
    • Support the company's commitment to innovation and thought leader in Real-Time Payment platform, Risk Insights and Authentify Product Services while protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience typically obtained through a Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, accounting or related technical field.
  • 15 or more years of related experience in product development using Cloud, Web and Mobile platforms along with vast experience working on financial systems and data privacy aspects.
  • 6 or more years' of experience and significant depth of knowledge in complex product / application services
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams to create technical solutions and implementation.
  • Ability to build deep relationships and networks with key decision makers and influencers, ability to create and deliver compelling and persuasive arguments with an executive level audience, comfortable establishing new relationships with and influencing the C Suite.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices, software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, LEAN etc) and DevOps practices
  • Background and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with various API / Micro Services design and architectures
  • Experience in implementing high-volume real-time application services in both Mobile (Android and iOS) and Web Platforms
  • Deep understanding of Financial Data, Data Classifications
  • Hands-on experience in test automation at various levels of testing (unit, component, integration and functional tests).
  • Hands-On Experience Architecture / Design of complex & real-time application services. Design functions include:
    • Discovery, Defining and Planning
    • Designing complex application API / Micro Services for both real-time and batch services.
    • Implement, monitor and support services
  • Knowledge of ACH/EFT
  • Knowledge of real time payment networks (RTP, FedNow)

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
