The RoleThe Solution Consulting team at AspenTech delivers high-quality solutions and business outcomes based on our products. As Sr Director of Solution Consulting for the EU, you will partner with regional sales leadership to develop and execute the strategic vision and roadmap for growing AspenTech's business in the region.
Demonstrating deep knowledge of the solutions and offerings, capable of contributing to the design of a complete solution across the entire lifecycle of a project - from pre-sales through design and delivery of the solution - the Solution Consultant team drives transformational results and realizes business strategy for AspenTech customers.

Your Impact

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales campaigns and plans with Sales teams.
  • Proactively work with the sales team to drive pipeline development and sales execution in the EU region.
  • Manage the Solution Consulting team in EURA to achieve pipeline and double-digit growth.
  • Oversee P&L.
  • Plan EU market growth for Engineering, Sub-service engineering, Asset Performance Management, and Manufacturing Supply Chain product lines.
  • Lead corporate initiatives like sustainability sales plays and regional customer advisory boards.
  • Suggest improvements for products, solutions, and growth ideas.
  • Manage pipeline across the portfolio and drive quarterly results partnership with Sales.
  • Grow existing customer spend and usage with innovative strategies.
  • Relationship management with key customers.
  • Drive organizational excellence through strategic coaching and reviews.
  • Execute strategic initiatives with customers.
  • Conduct operational reviews of Sales and Solution Consulting teams.

What You'll Need

Required Experience:

  • Background in Chemical Engineering or equivalent, with experience in Industrial software or services.
  • Consulting or technical sales experience in O&G, Chemical, EPC, and Power industries.
  • Strong understanding of the manufacturing industry, including plant operations, business trends, sustainability, work processes, and manufacturing economics.
  • Technology specialization in areas such as:
  • Process Engineering
  • Manufacturing Supply Chain
  • Advanced Process Control and Optimization
  • Asset Performance Management
  • IT/OT Real-time Digital Infrastructure
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems
  • Sub-surface Sciences
  • Strong problem-solving skills and drive to address customer issues.
  • Balance of business and technology acumen, with the ability to articulate technical solutions to business problems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to derive insights from customer interviews and data.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40%-50%.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting.
  • Ability to connect technology with measurable business value.
  • Strong consultative and communication skills.
