Sr. Electronics Engineer - CE - Circuit Breakers

Primary Function

Schneider Electric is seeking a motivated individual to serve as Sr. Electronics Engineer to support the new product development inside power products Portfolio, particularly Circuit Breakers. The position is based in Monterrey, Mexico and reports to the Power Products organization. The individual is responsible for all aspects of understanding customer needs/requirements from product being developed and transform those requirements in solutions through product development. The development process implies understanding of design thinking, design for manufacturing and validation methodologies using corporate tools.

Activities

• Understand product functional requirements and translate that into design needs.

• Understand the operation of the Electronic Trip Units in a Circuit Breaker.

• Understanding of Electronics and Electromagnetics fundamental is a most.

• Manage validation methodologies using advance tools such as CAE.

• Identification-Management of Technical Project risks.

• Manage design actions using Agile methodology.

• Being the main contact point of Product Design Lead and designers.

• Good communication skills are a most (business English conversations).

Qualifications

Requirements

- Must have 8 or more years of experience in design and development of electromechanical products.

- B.S. in Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or Design degree.

- General knowledge of manufacturing processes.

- Master of Science degree is desirable.

- Influence and Convince.

- Good communication skills are a most (business English conversations).
