Summary
Responsible for a Product Engineering Tribe that covers a domain business area of PISMO, will be in charge in the future of 2-6 Engineering Managers and their squads of Engineers (30+ people).
Manage the Systems Development and Solution Architecture, working on the evolution of the teams, generating value for the company through sustainable and innovative solutions following 2 pillars: Technology and Management.
What you'll do
- You will manage teams with weekly 1:1 meetings (Tech Leads);
- Monitor the development and evolution of the people you lead (talent retention);
- Recruit and train new people, adding diversity to our technical team and our culture;
- Empower the teams to achieve a high level of productivity, quality and delivery;
- Monitor the team's workflow (task development, help the team decide and document technical decisions and understand trade-offs;)
- Ensure compliance with OKRs;
- Provide guidance and insights to senior management. Strategy decisions, customer meetings, identifying all cases of the features, and even prioritizing features and technical debts;
- Address and anticipate risks (performance, integrity, technical debits, etc.);
- Ability to deal with highly complex teams showing good results on a daily basis;
- Ability to simultaneously lead more than one team;
- Ability to develop a successor (succession plan);
- Provide and ask for prompt and relevant feedback according to Pismo's cultural values and guidelines;
- Be a Pismo's Culture Ambassador;
- Manages to deal autonomously and satisfactorily with conflict situations, whether internal or external;
- Ability to act autonomously in highly complex and high-impact tasks. Ability in providing solutions to major problems, crises, or challenges;
- Be involved more and help in strategy decisions, customer meetings, identifying all cases of the features, and even prioritizing features and technical debts;
- Address and anticipate risks (performance, integrity, technical debits, etc.);
- Help translate business requirements into technical needs and actions;
- Contribute constantly to the design and maintenance of the application;
- Ensure that the team performs quality deliveries, in line with the criteria and good practices established by the organization;
- Present practical input for strategic technology decisions;
- Communicate the results obtained by the team, identify and mitigate operational risks;
- Effective communication of technical and architectural concepts to non-technical professionals;
- Be able to lead stakeholder management interactions guaranteeing good results;
Minimum Qualifications
- Live in the US;
- Experience in the IT field.
- Experience in managing leaders and big group of engineers with different profiles and backgrounds;
- Experience with large scale systems; Cloud environment; Asynchronous processing;
