Job Description:
Pratt & Whitney is seeking an individual with strong technical, problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills with military program Project Engineering experience. In this role, you will support the Project Engineering discipline on customer-funded and/or internally-funded programs within the GatorWorks Advanced Military Engine Programs (GW-AMEP) area, with the goal of meeting technical, budget, and schedule requirements for the GW-AMEP family of advanced military engine conceptual designs, technology system demonstrators, and GatorWorks agile development projects.
Responsibilities:
- Define, manage and publish the budget, schedule, and system level risk for these programs.
- Act as Cost Account Manager (CAM)
- Procure hardware using both the GW Task Order process and standard PW procurement processes
- Support outsourced resources for hardware procurement and supply chain
- Manage the alignment of budget and resources to accomplish the team's objectives
- Be responsible for identifying the technical, budget and schedule needs for engineering on government contract proposals, and report on government contract performance
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- 5 years in Project Engineering in Defense/Aerospace or related industries, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
- US Citizenship required due to government contracts
- The location for this position is East Hartford, CT or West Palm Beach, FL
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated strong problem solving, teamwork & leadership skills
- A track record of delivering results in a multi-functional team environment
- The ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers in varying disciplines, and management
- Have successful experience managing cost, budget and risk requirements
- Knowledge of SAP, Primavera and Dassian
- Project Engineering experience on DoD government contracts
- Collateral secret level security clearance
- Experience with Agile project management
