Reporting to the Head of Global Diversity and Culture, you will plan, manage, and execute a yearly strategy and engagement plan. You are a critical point person, responsible for supporting Yahoo's culture and engagement through global events. You will partner closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver and optimize events to drive employee engagement, enhance connectivity, and help employees understand Yahoo!'s culture strategy, purpose and values while fostering a sense of inclusion and belonging.
Responsibilities
  • Create yearly strategy and engagement plan for Yahoo and the framework for which events are executed on a global and local basis
  • Partner with internal and external teams including IC, HR, Studio's and local offices to build out an engagement and events framework as well as the execution
  • Drive best-in-class employee experiences based on industry insights
  • Develop, direct and monitor strategic operating goals, objectives and budget
  • Report operational performance and drive data driven decision making
  • Develop, communicate, and execute the events strategy and objectives while ensuring strategic alignment across other department's projects
  • Monitors progress of events from start-to-end
  • Maintain and deliver best practices for use across department and organization areas
  • Bring a passion for the employee experience
  • Manage a team of events professionals

Qualifications
  • At least 6-8+ years of experience working in the event industry primarily focused on the management of teams, global events and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or communications-related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience and deep understanding of change management, organizational culture, community, social impact, and workplace issues and changes
  • Strong organizational, editorial, project management, discussion, writing, and communication skills with the ability to guide and participate in a wide range of interactions
  • Experience developing internal strategies for and working directly with CEOs, vice presidents, or other executives

If hired for this position in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $111,750.00 - $186,250.00. The compensation may vary depending on your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include additional incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, plus equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, retirement, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program.
