The Finance Senior Manager, Energy & Chemicals will play a critical role in leading the finance team for the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) providing financial oversight, analysis, and support with an operational and strategic growth mindset. This Finance Senior Manager position can be located in either Houston, TX or Morris Plains, NJ.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading team of plant controllers in US based manufacturing facilities
- Driving financial reporting and analysis, forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis
- Provide financial guidance to the plant leadership team, ISC leaders and the General Managers through financial metrics, capital investment economic analysis, productivity analysis, and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Digitize and automate financial reporting and analytics.
- Complete ad-hoc analysis as requested to support the business
- Financial modeling of proposed new offers, business models, and go-to-market strategies
- Perform valuation modeling for potential M&A activity
- Be a global strategic finance leader actively working with the leadership team to achieve desired financial metrics across the organization.
- Lead month-end close and forecasting processes
- Interface with leadership and finance staff to ensure proper controls and compliance with GAAP
- Prepare and present Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Plan (STRAP) summary; operationalize targets into an action-oriented plan
- Review relevant industry and market information to form an understanding of the current and future operating environments to provide key insight into decision-making
- Develop and provide key business metrics, indicators, and financial interpretations
- Strong leadership experience with a focus on team development and succession planning
**Responsible for managing multiple sites**
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience in a Manufacturing corporate environment
- 3 + years of Supply Chain experience
- 3 + years of People Management experience in a matrix organization
- Ability to travel domestically 10-15%
WE VALUE:
- Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Ability to drive business decisions across the business teams
- Ability to lead and influence diverse, cross-functional teams globally
- Ability to understand business activities with a view broader than just the finance function
- Experience in a matrix organization; in addition to direct reports, ISC operational leaders will matrix
- ERP / systems experience (SAP and Hyperion Planning preferred)
- Strong communication skills
