Position Summary

This Senior Financial Analyst role is unique - working as both a financial analyst, but also assisting with the Companies statutory compliance. Your Focus is twofold:

• Statutory Compliance - assisting the outside Tax professionals in the preparation of Company tax returns. Managing the Transfer Pricing studies and documents on a global basis. Manage the commerce filings / survey and facilitating the 401k reporting / compliance.

• Analyzing the financial performance of the Company - reporting financial results and developing reporting tools / systems to facilitate financial analysis. This role will work closely with the other members of the financial team - working closing the books and running ad hoc analysis. Analysis includes global P&L reporting, balance sheet analysis, cash flow, KPI metrics and other analysis as required. Administering the general ledger, account structure and department hierarchy may also be required.

This position reports to the Corporate Controller.

What You'll Be Doing

Statutory Compliance

• Assist in preparing a schedule of M1 adjustments, internal coordination of tax information & working with external accounting firm
• Managing and coordinating tax audits, tax provisions, and tax compliance processes - working with external third parties
• Managing transfer pricing policies and annual transfer pricing studies for multiple countries - working with external professionals
• Assist in preparing year-end profit sharing and 401k compliance testing
• Reviewing and submit biweekly 401k contributions.
• Coordinating annual 401k audit
• Preparing all information for annual compliance testing - including 5500
• Prepare annual Department of Commerce reports
• Other duties as assigned

Financial Analyst

• Preparation and reporting of foreign legal entities and ensure foreign operations and legal entities effectively close their accounting records.
• Tracking, reporting and recording of all international lease (ASC 842) activity
• Reconciliation of intercompany A/R, A/P, and sales between all global companies
• Performance of USA monthly bank reconciliations
• Detailed analysis of accounting reports, documenting variances / research
• Preparing month end reports - Contribution margins, cash flow, revenue tie out, etc.
• Assists in the management of the external audit and review process
• Work closely with international local external bookkeepers, tax, and legal team
• Other duties as assigned

Required

• Minimum 4-6 years of experience, at least some of which is in tax
• Tax experience is preferred
• Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
• Ability to work independently
• Problem solving ability
• Good communicator with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills - must be solutions oriented
• Ability to work well on large and small cross-functional teams
• Experience of using Financial ERP Software such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Oracle and Quick Books. Report Writer experience also necessary
• Experience working with international operations
• Experience working with internal and external auditors.
• Proficient in advanced Excel skills (Pivot Table + Vlookup + Macros)
• Ability to investigate variances while having the ability to articulate findings to non-accountants
• Ability to work independently; highly motivated self-starter who can thrive in a team-oriented environment and under deadline pressure
• Understanding of GAAP & IFRS accounting standards
• Current knowledge of multi-entity operations and posting into several different companies
• Experience and understanding of f/x currency transactions, payments, or translation activities
