Position Summary:

Illumina has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business System Analyst on our commercial finance analytics team. This position requires close collaboration with commercial finance and executive leadership teams to build innovative data analytics solutions to provide critical business insights and support decision making capabilities. The successful candidate will support forecast, budgeting process and will also support in sustainability of the analytics and reporting environment, facilitate data analysis/discovery and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Develops and implements process improvement initiatives or solutions to enhance forecasting, analytical system and process performance
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analyze user requirements, and manage delivery of scalable analytics solutions
• Provides advanced and comprehensive support of users, business systems, and applications that achieve business efficiency and productivity goals
• Provides insight to leadership team on status and issues, serves as a resource to escalate issues, and will provide issues resolution and trouble-shooting support
• Supports rolling forecasting and budgeting processes, analytics and reporting
• Create functional and technical documentation and user training
• Deliver transformative solutions that are aligned to industry best practices and provide thought leadership in data space

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have background combining technical, as well as financial and analytical expertise and proficiency.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence, reporting, and analytics.
• Bachelor's Degree desired in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field (Master's Degree a plus).
• Knowledge of Financial Planning tools including Planning Analytics or similar
• Knowledge of Data Visualization, Business Intelligence analytic and reporting tools; preferably Tableau
• Knowledge of relational and dimensional database structures, theories, principles, and practice. Demonstrated ability to understand new datasets and data structures.
• Must have completed multiple budgeting and forecasting systems implementations using structured project methodologies and tools that support requirements, design, development, validation, deployment and training.
• Business knowledge of finance and/ or accounting functions is required.
• Must have Strong Excel modeling skills
• Must have solid communication (presentation/verbal/written) and organizational skills
• Highly self-motivated to deliver both independently and with strong team collaboration.
