Sr Frontend Engineer

Sinch Voice empowers cloud communications for service providers and enterprises over the largest and highest quality independent voice network in North America, with over 125 million numbers in service and carrying over 300 billion voice minutes annually. Through our IP-based network and cloud communications platforms, Sinch Voice offers a variety of solutions for service providers and enterprises as they seek to evolve their communications to the cloud and improve their customer engagement.

As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you will leverage various front-end technologies to develop our product and work closely with designers to prototype, iterate, and launch responsive web pages. You should have expertise in JavaScript development languages, modern application programming languages, and content management systems.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Identifying user and system requirements for websites and applications
• Translate requirements into final deliverables, collaborating with Product Owners and the team
• Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Collaborate with the back-end development team to sync tech and design for customer-facing product delivery
• Code, design, and modify user-facing features
• Review code written by front-end and back-end developers, collaborating with full-stack and backend teams
• Optimizing application for maximum speed and scalability
• Conduct front-end quality assurance testing and testing automation
• Ensure compliance with industry-standard development best practices, including accessibility and privacy
• Review, evaluate, and validate technical requirements, maintaining up-to-date software documentation
• Mentor, train, supervise, and evaluate less experienced development staff
• Lead product innovation by researching, sharing, and presenting emerging tech solutions

Education and Career Experience

• Degree in related field is a plus
• 5+ years in related field

Knowledge and Skills

• Proficient in front-end web development languages: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience developing and deploying large-scale React Applications
• Proficient in working with working with RESTful APIs
• Experience collaborating using Git and a web-based repositories
• Experience building accessible and inclusive digital products
• Experience collaborating with digital and/or product designers
• Strong technical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-developers
• Knowledgeable on application development data security practices
• Ability to test and debug web applications
• Experience in creating unit tests and end-to-end tests
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Skills (nice-to-have):

• Familiarity in using Axios for HTTPS requests
• Experience in developing a global application with localization (React-i18next)
• Familiarity with Material UI
• Experience in working with an Agile workflow
• Familiar with search engine optimization (SEO) for search-friendly websites and interfaces
