Sr Full Stack Engineer

We're looking for a senior full stack engineer to be a core part of our front end team. You'll serve an integral role in building interactive experiences that take our API-first product and make it easy for anyone to use. This means you will be working closely with all the engineering staff, with a majority of your time spent with our front end and product teams. You'll be involved in decisions around our architecture, CI/CD, and processes. We're looking for someone who's highly collaborative and can consistently write maintainable, production-ready code, and most importantly, has a good understanding of modern web frameworks and cares about code quality. We don’t expect you to have a background in everything we use, but we do expect strong JavaScript fundamentals and a background working with React and TypeScript. If you like diving deep into the nuances of a feature, from database and API design to component organization, then you would be a great addition to our front end team of talented full stack engineers.

• Build new user-facing features with everything from database models to architecture and UI components. Includes implementing at the NextJS API layer, optimizing Redux sagas, and leveraging Redis for various data strategies.

• Improve performance by profiling and optimizing applications for maximum scalability and speed, with an eye for privacy best practices.

• Build reusable code and libraries which will be useful in the future.

• Frequent collaboration with product managers and designers. Bridge the requirements between product and design. Clear communication with product stakeholders.

• Translate UI/UX wireframes to visual elements.

• Minimum of 4 years professional experience as a full stack engineer.

• Minimum of 2 years recent professional experience with React (or modern Javascript frameworks) and Express (or something similar, as we use NextJS).

• Strong foundation in data structures, O(n), and relational databases.

• Fluent in modern CSS and HTML standards. Experience with Flexbox and CSS Grid.

• Familiarity with Redux & Typescript.

• Self-directed and comfortable moving forward bringing clarity to ambiguous situations. Will receive plenty of support but should know when to ask for help.

• At this time, we can support hiring in North American time zones for this role.

Compensation Range: $130K - $160K
