Sr HR Business Partner - Engineering & Product
Job Description
The role of the Sr HR Business Partner is to develop and implement innovative and effective people strategies that support our business objectives and demonstrate our values, in collaboration with the HRBP Lead for Home Ecosystem, the People Team CoE leaders and other key partners and stakeholders. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about their work, are accountable, possess strong analytical and influencing skills, demonstrate a high-level of systems thinking capability, and strong interpersonal and project management skills. They will have previous experience in a Media and Technology company, ideally with previous experience supporting Consumer and Media/Content employee populations. They will work closely with all levels of leaders and employees, building effective and trusting working relationships, coaching them to be better leaders and ensure HR programs and services support and drive Yahoo's business objectives.

The right candidate will have a keen awareness around culture and engagement and will create action plans and interventions to ensure leaders foster effective and inclusive working environments.
Your way to impact:
- Use data and insight to translate business strategies and objectives into the appropriate People Plan for the organization and garner support and ownership for that agenda in the business
- Partner directly with leaders and generate solutions to their people and organizational challenges
- Coach business leaders and managers on critical issues such as performance management, providing constructive feedback, talent assessment, development and succession; organization health and effectiveness, and team dynamics
- Collaborate with internal HR COEs (global HRBPs, Total Rewards, People Operations and Shared Services, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Employee Relations) and external partners (Legal, Finance, Business Operations, DEI&B, Comms) in the development of industry leading and inclusive talent programs that drives retention and engagement.
- Ensure proper implementation, support, guidance, and execution of HR core programs and initiatives.
- Measure and monitor key HR metrics / dashboard for the organization they support and the business as a whole
- Guide and coach managers on how to handle a variety of HR issues: performance issues, rewards, building high performing organizations, and increasing leadership and organizational effectiveness
- Participate actively in HRBP team discussions around process and program iteration, providing detailed and constructive feedback around People Team products and programs and forwarding potential improvements or solutions to accompany that feedback
- Has a strong ability to work with diverse stakeholders in a global environment
What Do You Need To Bring:
- Prior experience in a fast growing Media and Technology driven industries
- 8+ yrs of HR Business Partner experience in a complex, global, matrixed environment
- Ability to build and maintain credible working relationships with executive level leaders
- Proven ability to work with ambiguity and in a fast moving environment
- Demonstrated competence in the various HR functional areas: management/executive coaching; change management; organizational development; recruitment; compensation; employee relations
- Strong general business knowledge with ability to translate business needs into an HR agenda
- Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Well-developed team building and influencing skills, unquestioned integrity, and the experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address sensitive HR issues
- Informal "roll up your sleeves and get it done" leadership style that is people-centric, effective and marked by a high level of energy and global mindset
- Proactive in developing and effectively introducing alternatives to current HR practices, as appropriate
- Track record of success in an informal, "smart" environment providing effective, contemporary and practical advice
- Attention to detail, follow through and commitment to high quality delivery

The compensation for this position ranges from $110,625.00 - $230,625.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
