Be part of a team that promotes compliance with environmental and safety regulations and ensures the company's Health, Safety and Environmental programs meet local, state, provincial, federal regulations as well as client requirements within Honeywell. You will use your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You will also work closely with operations, production, and HSE Specialists to support programs and initiatives. This position is REMOTE.
Travel: 30% US
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the implementation, sustainability, and monitor compliance within several 3rd party compliance management systems (ISNetworld, Avetta, etc.) to ensure Honeywell's status is Recommended or Acceptable.
Support the Implementation and monitor compliance of contractors that perform work within our factories or projects within several 3rd party compliance management systems (ISNetworld, Avetta, etc.).
Investigates non-compliance conditions to determine and eliminate causes.
Assist in developing and implementing HS&E policies and procedures (Job Hazard Analysis & Risk Recognition, Lock out, Tag out, Fall Protection, Hot Work).
Conduct HS&E worksite assessments and audits, develop & communicate corrective actions, and steward to closure.
Identify improvement opportunities and discuss them during tiered meetings.
Coach supervisors, employees, and contractors on HS&E issues.
Influence Leadership personnel to improve HS&E standards through use of standard work, DEKRA Gemba's, Rapid Problem Solving, and visual management.
MUST HAVE:
Proficiency in Microsoft office packages.
Travel expected to be 30% or more regionally as needed.
Experience with US OSHA, VPP
Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, chemistry or related HSE discipline required. (can be substituted w/ experience)
Ability to create a clear and compelling business case for change.
Six Sigma experience, Green Belt certification a strong plus.
Record of progressive HS&E experience.
Knowledge of integrated Management systems, corporate safety rules, international regulations, international standards, local regulations.
Knowledge and Experience with Behavior Based Safety Systems.
Ability to understand/learn regulatory standards and Honeywell HSE policies and concepts.
Discipline to adhere to schedules and meet strict deadlines.
Ability to interface with Honeywell & Customer Leadership when visiting work sites.
