Job Summary

Job Purpose:

The Senior Initiative Designer is responsible for planning and executing projects and design engagements for the C1 Innovation lab, utilizing project management methodologies and best practices. The position is accountable for project planning, implementation, and ongoing record keeping for C1 projects and engagements, from initial strategic planning stages through project execution and post-pilot analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience leading client facing projects and diverse cross-functional teams, including staff researchers, strategists, consultants, designers, data analysts, and external resources.

C1 Innovation Lab projects impact large national account clients, and internal HCSC business units and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

C1 Innovation Lab projects impact large national account clients, and internal HCSC business units and stakeholders.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor-Degree and 7 years project/program management experience, with successful project implementation and supervisory experience
• Experience leading cross-functional teams
• Experience managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously within a fast-paced environment
• Problem solving skills and experience mitigating project risk using project management and communication strategies
• Demonstrated proficiency and experience with project management tools, systems, and methodologies (e.g., MS environment including Planner/Project, TEAMS, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Communicating with poise and professionalism with clients and co-workers

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Project management experience in healthcare, insurance, or similar service industry
• Experience with Design Thinking, Human-Centered Design, or Agile methodologies
• Project Management Certification (Scrum/PMI/PMP)
• Experience in a consulting, startup, or innovation team environment
• Ability to drive consensus and influence at various levels of the organization
• Experience with workshop facilitation and direct client engagement is a plus
• Knowledge of Design Operations is a plus
