Job Description
Sr. IT Application Architect for Blue Card Modernization (BCM) project and support of future ITS mandates. Helping to move Blue Card claims application to the cloud.
What Will I Be Doing?• Accountable for adhering to enterprise architecture standards, ensuring integration technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization and contributing to architecture strategy-setting.• Define project-level application architectures in line with business area guidelines and strategies.• Define detailed technical designs usable by project team programmers. Review code developed by Developers to ensure code is consistent with architecture design. Troubleshoots, recommends, and executes action plans for issue resolution.• Develops actual working solutions or prototypes based on their own designs and resolves any issues that arise.• Provide day-to-day technical direction to project team while also prioritizing and resolving technical issues affecting and deliverables, escalating technical issues when required. Facilitates project handoffs including preparing documentation, educating and supporting to ensure smooth transitions.
What is Required?• 6+ years related work experience. Experience Details: IT development/programming/coding professional work experience or equivalent combination of transferrable experience and education. Display technical leadership.• Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience IT related field or equivalent work experience• 2 or more years of work experience as an Application Architect working on progressively complex IT projects • Proficient in multiple programming languages.• Proficiency in creating architecture, green-field and redesign, and communicate the same to project team• Must demonstrate initiative and effective independent decision-making skills.• Proficiency in creating architectural designs for gradually complex designs across applications within supported business area.• Proficiency in aligning and rationalizing business applications to simplify the IT portfolio and reduce costs• Exceptional leadership skills demonstrated through projects/programs.• Highly adept at innovating and thinking beyond established standards and processes• Specific tools, languages and specialty skills may vary. Relevant Development certifications. Broad knowledge of application suite required to support business area needs
What is Preferred?• ORACLE PL/SQL experience • Java experience on any UI or JAVA application that helps to understand the how the client server architecture works • BlueCard Business/Technical Knowledge• JAVA developer experience• Florida Blue or GuideWell experience
General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Annualized Salary Range: $121,300 - $197,100
Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $121,300 - $151,600
Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
