Senior IT Developer

Jacksonville, Florida

Job Duties:• Performing software application development;

  • Developing, programming and coding of Information Technology solutions;
  • Documenting detailed specifications;
  • Participating in unit testing and maintaining of planned and unplanned internally developed applications;
  • Evaluating and performance testing of purchased products;
  • Including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the application;
  • Leading efforts;
  • Overseeing work results;
  • Providing training;
  • Serving as a technical resource for other Developers;
  • Writing code for complex designs;
  • Writing programs that span platforms;
  • Coding to and creating API's;
  • Writing code for developing new programs;
  • Reviewing code developed by other Developers;
  • Providing input to and driving programming standards;
  • Writing detailed technical specifications;
  • Identifying integration points;
  • Reviewing technical specifications created by other developers;
  • Ensuring sufficient quality and compliance of documentation to architectural standards;
  • Reporting missing elements found in requirements;
  • Serving as lead liaison to vendors as assigned;
  • Scoping time and resources required to complete programming projects;
  • Seeking review from other IT professionals or Project Managers on estimates;
  • Incorporating other Developers' scope information into own scope document (for integration points);
  • Assisting in reviewing vendor products;
  • Providing subject matter expertise input on compliance of products to architectural standards and impacts to IT environment;
  • Performing unit testing and debugging;
  • Setting test conditions based upon code specifications;
  • Debugging program errors;
  • Supporting transition of applications throughout the Product Development life cycle;
  • Documenting what has to be migrated;
  • Working on integration issues and determining the integration approach;
  • Coordinating with other areas for integration architecture solutions;
  • Assisting the technical team with defining configuration for installing products;
  • Consulting on database setup;
  • Loading database for testing;
  • Reviewing vendor research and gap analyses;
  • Narrowing down vendor choices and making final recommendations to the technical team and client; and
  • Acting as a technical mentor to other team members and acting as a technical lead on projects.
Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any Computer or Engineering field and 5 or more years of progressive work experience in the job offered, or in a developer or related role or a Master's Degree in any Computer or Engineering field and 3 or more years of work experience in the job offered, or in a developer or related role
  • 3 years of development experience with IBM BPM or similar ESB product
  • Experience with short running and long running Business Processes, Mediations, Orchestrations, and Business Objects
  • Experience with JMS, MQJMS, MQ Bindings, SCA binding, Web services, HTTP bindings, and EIS bindings
  • Experience with unit testing, release procedures, developing code, documentation protocol, and change management procedures
  • Experience with versioning tools
  • Experience with SDLC
  • Experience with object oriented programming language
  • Experience with debugging tools
  • Experience mentoring or leading other developers
  • Experience developing loosely coupled SOA based complex integrations and services to integrate multiple multi-platform applications
  • Experience with Quality of service (QoS) qualifiers in IBM BPM or similar ESB product
  • Experience managing transnationality
  • Experience processing SOAP attachments in IBM BPM or similar ESB product mediation processes
  • Experience with NodeJs, MongoDB, Asynchronous processing, JSON format, REST API, and SoapUI
  • Experience with J2EE and SQL
