Job Duties:
- Installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining systems, hardware and software, and related infrastructure;
- Providing engineering, operations and support, maintenance and research, and development for Linux and Windows systems that support GateWay infrastructure;
- Performing technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure;
- Ensuring system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values;
- Facilitating and initiating the install and configuration of systems to support Gateway processing, including installing new or rebuilds of existing servers and configuring hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage;
- Performing daily system and security monitoring;
- Verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes;
- Reviewing system and application logs;
- Verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups;
- Assisting project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of standard Project Management Methodology;
- Monitoring, installing, configuring, testing, administering, troubleshooting and maintaining of assigned technology;
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting problems;
- Performing migration;
- Participating in capacity planning;
- Driving and implementing automation enhancements and process improvement efforts;
- Writing programming/scripting;
- Contributing input into infrastructure architecture and ensures infrastructure architecture is implemented as intended;
- Ensuring execution and alignment to architectural standards and blueprints;
- Working on multiple complex systems and applications;
- Managing system and application environments and ongoing operations;
- Ensuring that technologies are updated with current, stable, and compliant architecture and systems and applications meet enterprise standards;
- Monitoring and reporting performance utilization of assigned technologies;
- Troubleshooting software and hardware issues and failures;
- Resolving alerts and performing remediation activities;
- Managing problems, escalated tickets, tasks and out of cycle requests from systems and software owners;
- Collecting and presenting data for reporting and planning;
- Determining best tactical and long-term solution;
- Diagnosing and resolving complex technology and system/application errors; implementing process and automation improvements;
- Monitoring and identifying broader, more complex issues across multiple, integrated, connected technologies and communicating as appropriate;
- Participating in Disaster Recovery planning and exercises;
- Performing on-call activities as needed for the environment and technologies;
- Leading initiatives and overseeing work results; and
- Providing training and serving as a technical resource for other Systems Engineers.
- Bachelor's Degree in any Computer or Engineering field and 5 or more years of progressive work experience in the job offered, or in a systems engineer or related role or a Master's Degree in any Computer or Engineering field and 3 or more years of work experience in the job offered, or in a systems engineer or related role
- Experience with Java
- Experience with SQL programming
- Experience with installation, configuration and administration of CA Single Sign-On
- Experience with LDAP and X.500 directory services
- Experience with implementing SSO using SAML
- Experience with Groovy
- Experience with DB2, MS SQL, and Oracle databases
- Experience with HTML5 and CSS
- Experience with JDBC
- Experience with distributed systems and server architectures
- Experience with IBM DataPower Gateways
- Experience with installation and configuration of DataPower Appliances
- Experience using multi-protocol gateway to support message types with different protocols and integrations with MQ
- Experience with Splunk
- Experience with Linux and Windows Systems
- Experience with Project Management Methodologies
- Experience with EDI and HL7 formats
- Experience with Edifecs XE Server
- Experience with Shell Scripting
- Experience with Jenkins
- Experience with GIT HUB
- Experience with SharePoint, C#.net, and Jira
