Sr Lead Application Developer

The Senior Lead Application Developer job is responsible for overseeing the analysis, programming, and configuration of information technology systems software. This job develops complex software components and advises developers on best methods of software development and code creation. While working with the leadership team, this job provides project leadership for software development activities.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Developing/Supporting complex efforts involving Analysis, Design, Development, and testing of various application components with-in Investment Operations domain.
• Hands on developer capable of debugging the system and fixing the production related issues.
• Strong ability to analyze functional needs that drive the analysis and technical design of quality technical solutions.
• Implements solutions that are aligned with business/IT strategies and complies with Nuveen's Architectural standards.
• Resolves complex application and technical problems.
• Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies; Provides mentoring and training to more junior staff.
• Handles complex operational tasks and recommends processing and technology changes.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience with Service Oriented Architectures using WCF / Web API, front-end coding techniques using HTML, JavaScript (Angular) JQuery, and Web Forms.
• Experience with REST API development, consumption, and integration
• Experience with designing and developing Advanced SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and TSQL programming solutions
• Experience managing and working with complex data environments
• Experience with System migrations and integrations

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of CLOs, Bank Loans a plus
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline with over 5+ yrs of work experience in Software Application Development
• Strong ability to design, code, and debug applications in various software languages
• Financial service industry experience preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Base Pay Range: $124,300/yr. - $207,100/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
