Sr. Lead, Desktop Asset Management
Major Duties
- Accountable for the effectiveness, quality and timeliness of North America EUC hardware asset records within Service Now.
- Work with global counterparts in managing Desktop Asset Management global operating processes including planning, acquisition, inventory, use, maintenance, and disposal.
- Oversee vendor resources that was responsible for the hardware asset data in the Service Now asset tool. This involved governance of data changes, updates, feed updates, etc.
- Work closely with Service Now developers to define requirements for asset related business logic relating to the intended operating processes. Assist in testing of changes and enhancements made by developers.
- Work with third party disposal vendor for the preparation, sanitization, and ultimate decommissioning and disposal of desktop and EUC hardware.
- Work with desktop hardware vendor on identifying standards and roadmaps for new hardware generations.
- Worked closely with Audit and Risk to research and satisfy requests.
- Provides in-depth consulting to IT management, NT staff and Managed Service Provider at the highest technical level in the identification, evaluation, implementation/integration and testing of new Service Now implementations, including upgrades to existing environment & implementation of new capabilities.
- May act as Project Leader, and may be involved in providing assistance and training to lower level specialists.
- Assist management as needed with delegated tasks related to projects, initiatives, Service Now reporting, testing, etc.
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong knowledge of Service Now required
- Requires an extensive knowledge of EUC Hardware Asset Management within the Service Now application, strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with Managed Service Provider and IT management, staff and vendors.
- Excellent Communication skills
Experience Required
- 7-10 years related work experience in ITSM or IT support environment.
- A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred. Related Industry qualification is preferred.
