Sr Machine Learning Engineer, AI Research

You will contribute to both research and applied engineering, bridging the gap between academic advancements and real-world product deployment. This is a highly collaborative, remote-first role where curiosity, technical depth, and creative problem-solving are essential. You will help build robust ML systems while influencing product direction and advancing AI capabilities across the organization.

• Design, train, evaluate, and iterate on machine learning models across applied AI and research initiatives.
• Conduct rapid experimentation to validate hypotheses and improve model performance through data-driven insights.
• Build scalable ML pipelines covering data ingestion, feature engineering, training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to translate cutting-edge AI research into production-ready systems.
• Optimize models using techniques such as hyperparameter tuning, fine-tuning, and architecture experimentation.
• Maintain rigorous experimentation practices, including documentation, result tracking, and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with advancements in machine learning and identify opportunities to apply emerging techniques.
• Contribute to system reliability and availability, including on-call or production support during critical deployments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or applied AI research roles.
• Strong hands-on experience training and evaluating ML models, including large language models.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow, Weights & Biases, Kubeflow, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of NLP, computer vision, and/or reinforcement learning techniques.
• Ability to balance rapid prototyping with production-grade engineering rigor.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to diverse audiences.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced, experimental environments.
