POSITION SUMMARY

Columbia Sportswear's Digital Technology (CDT) group enables an IT infrastructure and applications across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry.

The Senior Manager Digital Product- Product Creation Technology is a management role in the CSC Digital Technology group. Working in partnership with architects, business partners, engineering, and others, you will build the Product Vision, own the Product Roadmap, and lead a group of Product Owners delivering value for the Planning space. This role provides guidance in assessing product opportunities and risks, leverages data-driven approaches to test and optimize the product and suggests new solutions to increase the product's business value.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Senior Manager Digital Product- Product Creation Technology requires a proven Product Management leader who with functional Product Creation knowledge that can lead multiple Digital Product teams. Our ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in Digital Product Management supporting Product Creation Technology. They must have a customer-first mindset, a strong understanding of back-end and front-end programming languages, and the ability to develop data pipelines that can be used to track, analyze, and improve our digital product. This role requires a candidate with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills as you'll be working with a team to interpret large amounts of data. This is a customer centric role, working to translate the needs of the customer into business opportunities.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
  • Drive product strategies and long-term vision to build best in class digital products
  • Conduct user research and usability studies, collaborating with designers, developers, and research teams from end to end of the process.
  • Ability to craft a product vision (short to long term) and convert that into a concrete strategy
  • Participate in market research, validation, and whitespace analysis to identify new opportunities for new and existing features and functionalities
  • Facilitate enterprise processes for feature, capability and strategic initiative identification, assessment, and prioritization
  • Partner with business owners and agile product teams to build product roadmaps that will be incorporated into the broader company product portfolio plan
  • Develop and implement data pipelines that extract, transform, and load data into an information product
  • Work on managing, storing, processing and analyzing large data sets to identify business opportunities/efficiencies
  • Evaluate, analyze, and understand the voice of the customer through a variety of data sources

YOU WILL
  • Manage the product roadmap and backlog for Product Creation Technology products
  • Oversee and manage lead requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing
  • Partner with the executive teams to identify key capabilities needed as well as identifying potential issues
  • Partner with cross functional teams regularly to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization
  • Partner with Technology partners to manage the roadmap and backlog to ensure delivery of all capabilities on time and per expectation
  • Monitor and evaluate product performance to ensure constant product iteration and improvements
  • Recruit, retain and develop world class talent

YOU HAVE
  • 5-7 years of experience in digital product management or similar role
  • Strong functional knowledge of Supply Chain and Product Creation technology solutions
  • Strong analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills
  • Usability and customer-focused design experience a plus
  • Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems
  • E xcellent collaboration and influencing skills
  • Ability to maintain productivity in a multi-tasking environment
  • Professional verbal and written communication
  • Servant leader with a growth mindset
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field - preferred
  • Experience writing SQL queries, experience with back-end and front-end programming languages, such as Java, HTML, CSS, Angular JS - preferred
  • Core systems and technology: PDM, Salsify, SAP, Microsoft PowerBI - preferred
  • Scrum Master Certification is a plus - preferred
