We are hiring a talented senior Digital Technology leader to join the Global Functions Digital team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of the Carrier Planning & Sourcing DT strategy, technology plans and investments.

About this Role

The Sr. Manager Technical Program Management for the Carrier Digital Foundry is responsible for overseeing and supporting the platform teams, ensuring seamless delivery of technical initiatives. This role will focus on monitoring and communicating progress and risks within the program increment, facilitating quarterly planning, and driving continuous improvement in program execution.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Program Management:

• Lead and manage the execution of technical programs within Carrier Digital Foundry, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and implement program management processes to ensure efficient execution, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including platform product managers, technical product owners, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports.

Monitoring and Communication:

• Track and report on program and project progress, highlighting milestones, deliverables, and risks.
• Communicate proactively with all stakeholders to ensure dependencies are identified and mitigated promptly.
• Facilitate regular updates and reviews to ensure alignment with program goals and timelines.

Quarterly Planning:

• Support the facilitation of quarterly planning sessions, ensuring clear objectives and alignment across teams.
• Coordinate with platform product managers and engineering leads to define and prioritize initiatives for each program increment.
• Support pods and provide guidance on the process to decompose product epics into jira epics, and to establish quarterly commitments.
• Monitor and report on the progress and risks to the Say/Do within the PI across applications to Foundry Leadership.

Stakeholder Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
• Manage and support third-party implementation partners, ensuring successful delivery and adherence to contractual obligations.
• 5. Continuous Improvement:
• Analyze team processes and tools to recommend and drive improvements for ongoing program optimization.

Agile Practices:

• Ensure all agile ceremonies are established and executed at the team level, including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint demos, user story acceptance, and retrospectives.
• Promote and coach agile development methodologies across the organization.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 7+ years managing the delivery of complex software products and projects.
• 7+ years managing requirements decomposition for multiple agile teams.
• 5+ years of experience in PaaS or SaaS, managing the product lifecycle of micro-services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Agile Product Owner and/or Scrum Master Certification.
• Knowledge of UX research, interaction design, and creative design.
• Experience with digital tools like Aha!, Jira, Confluence, Miro, and LucidChart.
• Strong business acumen and a desire to understand how new features impact customers and the business.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture and manage small details effectively.
