Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM), Enterprise Protect, the successful candidate is responsible for the oversight, product ownership and delivery of Enterprise, CIAM platforms (CA and US). The successful candidate will have the ability to act like an owner and oversee the onboarding of business lines to platforms, introduction of net new enhancements, and drive to target state by realizing channel consistency and alignment across the Enterprise.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strategy - The successful candidate will own the product maturation strategy for all platforms under their management, including the identification of immediate and future opportunities using a wide range of internal and external resources (e.g. Industry best practices, customer sentiment, fraud rates, stakeholders, backlogs, operational data, CIAM Base Platform strategy etc.).
  • Project Execution - Will execute and support CIAM and Partner funded related customer authentication initiatives. Manages projects that are designed to enhance CIAM capabilities such as enabling different authenticator methods and the deployment of desktop tools to customer facing employees. Ensure execution aligns with New Evolution of Work (NEW) operating model.
  • Project Oversight - Will oversee Product Owners are effectively managing Agile Pod(s), ensuring the project has a healthy backlog which aligns to the project vision and the roadmap.
  • Product Ownership - Responsible for product development with a mindset of constant improvement to reach target state. Maintains a multi-year vision roadmap, detailing enhancements, integrations, and opportunities for the portfolio and owns all decisions pertaining to systems under management
  • Platform Adoption - Defines and executes a migration strategy for existing, bespoke and/or outdated telephony-based authentication services and systems across the enterprise
  • Operational Support - Manages customer and business unit issues as they relate to the portfolio of the role, provides subject matter expertise, and where required, takes ownership of issues from identification to resolution.
  • Platform Development - Ensures currency and cloud migration strategy is maintained for all applicable systems within the portfolio of the role.
  • Business Architecture - In conjunction with key stakeholders, defines current state/future state and identifies gaps to align business and technology to the Enterprise Customer Authentication Platform for current and future-looking development strategies.
  • 3rd Party / Vendor Oversight - Maintains a deep understanding of how 3rd party authentication provider assets intersect with the enterprise platform and what data needs to be consumed centrally
  • Leadership & Resource Management - Directly manages and develops a focused team of product owners and delivery leads. "Influences without Authority" to mobilize project, vendor and stakeholder resources where required.
  • Continuous Improvement - Consistently evaluates platform performance and seeks out opportunities to tweak and/or overhaul underperforming assets, policies, vendor arrangements and technical designs.
  • Documentation - Establishes and maintains key artifacts detailing technical and business processes as related to the portfolio including min requirements, architectural blueprints, and system overviews.

  • University Degree.
  • Information Security Certification / Accreditation an asset.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of the business and technology standards.
  • Thought leadership with deep expertise and knowledge of the business and technology standards.
  • Experience leading, overseeing/managing a team or group(s) of moderate to large or in size, scope, risk and complexity.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and organizational skills, including the ability to present options in business terms to both IT and business staff including executives.
  • Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.

About This Role

We are looking for someone to lead a team of Technology Controls / Information Security experts as they develop and manage strategies, programs, tools, frameworks and policies as well as provide specialized oversight, control and governance activities for a key business segment or transformational strategic initiative. Both your influence and exposure to executives and various groups enterprise-wide will allow you to expand your efforts to minimize overall technology risks to TD.

  • Consult with partners on Technology Controls and Information Security programs, policies, standards and incidents.
  • Assign and oversee resources on risk assessments, required controls definition, control procedure appropriateness, vulnerability assessments etc.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk and control design assessments for an application portfolio, articulate and document impact of control gaps to the business and the overall Bank, risk mitigation and remediation plans, remediation strategy document or provide info security solutions to address risks.
  • Make sure technology, processes and governance are in place to monitor, detect, prevent, and react to security threats against TDBG's business.
  • Contribute to the definition, development, and oversight of a global network and endpoint security threat management strategy and framework.
  • Ensure team follows internal policies and procedures, technology control standards and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Adhere to and advise on, oversee, monitor, enforce enterprise frameworks and methodologies that relate to technology controls / information security activities.
  • Grow team expertise so it aligns with company demand and TD's direction; assess team skills and capabilities and find ways to improve value delivered.
  • Responsible for management of the overall team(s) providing both leadership and guidance.
  • Set targets and objectives for the team.
  • Provide coaching, development, succession, recruitment, resource management and overall team leadership for team members, regularly contribute to performance and development plans.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar function, preferably in the Financial Industry
  • Ability to work in an agile environment, following scrum methodology
