WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Development and maturation of import and export compliance policies and procedures in accordance with local and international legislation and policies.
- Identify the accurate filing of Customs documents in order to make sure they are in compliance with the existing tariff and non-tariff regulations applicable to duty deferral programs operations. (IMMEX program).
- Settle level compliance of the temporary imports of machinery and equipment in regards to the legal entry, stay, location and use of such goods.
- Verify that the accurate INCOTERMS rule prevailing in each foreign trade transaction is declared in the customs documents, to avoid any problems regarding the valuation of goods for customs purposes.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations, also handle any issues or challenges that can arise due to unexpected circumstances during the import export process.
- Determinate security protocols in the supply chain are observed under the C -TPAT standards.
- Make sure the Tariff classification numbers listed on the certificates of origin to be used on the importation of the goods into Mexico match with the ones declared on customs entry documents prepared by the Mexican Customs Broker.
- Leading an operation of more than $500 million per year.
- Stay updated on the changes and developments in the import and export laws and regulations, and advise the management and the relevant departments on the impact and implications of such changes.
- Providing mentorship to staff members regarding regulatory requirements and documentation.

YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or International Trade, or a related field (B.A., B.S.) is required.
- 8+ years' experience in Imp/Exp Compliance Mgr.
- Fluent and professional English level.
- Consistent track record to apply strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with people at all levels within the organization and outside the organization.
- Ability to adapt and thrive to ever-evolving business circumstances.
- Certification in import and export compliance, such as the Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or the Certified Export Specialist (CES), is a plus.
